The locomotive is a second design variant of the shunting tender locomotives used in BDZ and known as the 47 series. It has the appearance of the typical German shunting locomotivesthat was mass-produced between 1898 and 1921, also known as the DR series 896-8. In Bulgaria locomotive 47.05 was delivered by J.A.
